Charles Bentley Deluxe Rowing Machine Review
Charles Bentley Deluxe is truly a luxury machine for a mid-range price. It is a brilliant full body workout that gives you best of both world of cardio and strength. It also looks great, will definitely fit in well with your home gym equipment.
The machine is an excellent build. It is very sturdy and can even beat some of the more expensive machines such as Concept 2 in terms of quality and design. It’s frame is made from steel with grey painted finish, it has vinyl covered seat and soft grip handles. It was built to last for long and every customer who bought it is a happy customer – check out reviews on amazon!
When you order this machine, it will be delivered right to your address in a box. The box will contain user manual, step by step assembly instructions and machine parts. Make sure you have some additional tools with you to assemble this machine. It is very easy to follow the instructions and assemble this all by yourself. Typically it takes around an hour to assemble it, using power tools would speed up the process. Be careful when carrying the box around, it is quite heavy!
Charles Bentley Deluxe offers 8 different tension levels. You can control the tension by turning the knob that is located under the handle bar. Pick a resistance that is more suitable for your fitness level and enjoy a great workout.
To keep your feet firmly in place and safe from getting traumatised, Charles Bentley feet pedals can pivot and your feet can be attached to it using foot straps. The seat was designed ergonomically to provide maximum comfort during long rowing sessions. Handles are covered in soft foam so you won’t get blisters if you work out hard.
Bentley Deluxe comes with an amazing modern display. It will be able to show you vital stats during your training. Workout stats that you can see on a display are:
- Time elapsed
- Distance rowed
- Time per 500 metre
- Calories burned
When you finish your workout, you can put this machine away. For your convenience it can be folded up in half and then transported easily thanks to the transport wheels at the front of the machine. The machine doesn’t take much space when folded in half and will not be a trouble for someone who lives in a tight space.
Charles Bentley Deluxe can accommodate users who are up to 120 kg (19 stones) or a bit taller than 6 feet. This is great for tall people who want to complete full rowing stroke without any discomfort.
On the down side of things, the display is a bit small. It is also hard to read the stats during the workout in dark premises as display is not back-lit.
- Folds in half to save space
- 8 resistance levels
- Quiet in operation
- Sturdy quality build
- Display has some minor issues
What customers say about Charles Bentley Deluxe
This is an amazingly good rowing machine for its price! Great value for its price! Good quality piece of equipment that show no signs of wear and tear. Built in computer is a bit primitive but still is a great addition to the workout.
Great quality and value rower that has clear and easy assembly instructions. It feels quite smooth when rowing also has good variety of resistance levels. Works out great for me and my wife.
This machine was delivered to me a couple of days after I ordered it. It was very easy to assemble it and took me around 45 minutes with instructions. Very sturdy and great quality machine. The display could have been better quality though.
The machine was easy to assemble and took me about an hour to do it by myself. It feels very sturdy and is very silent! Everything is OK with it except that display is not lit, so whenever it is dark in the room it gets hard to see what’s going on there.
Great mid-range price rowing machine. It has everything that a more advanced rower has – it is made of good materials, it has a good display (apart from it being not back-lit there are no other downsides to it), plenty of resistance levels to choose from and is very affordable to say the least.
We would recommend this rower to intermediate and advanced rowers, but if you are a beginner and willing to get into rowing then this machine will be worth buying too.
